Equal parts spice and speed, this collaboration takes its title from the Levantine instrument that serves as a thematic backdrop - combined with pulsating bass lines and disco driven drums to elicit a sweeping club energy whilst maintaining traditional undertones.
The A-side, âHarounâ takes the ancestral melodies of Sarvâs Palestinian heritage and drives them into a trippy boulevard of mijwiz notes, weaving a serpentine path through hypnotic grooves and psychedelic flourishes.
On the B-side, âSurunaâ, Dacou doesnât shy away from the spacey out-to-lunch arpeggiated bass and acid wriggles that have become a mainstay of his productions. The subtle and intense contrasts of the zurna culminate in a frenzy of rumbling dips and dives that reside in the darkest depths of the hard Italo bedrock.
